Bigots outraged at blow against bigotry

Kool-aid drinkers from the usual spots are outraged at SB 777, the California law taking effect in January that strengthens protections for LGBT students from discriminatory bias in the schools. Many of the bigots claim to be Christians. i can name that tune in....

In Northern California there is a community that is putting pressure on the school district to confront SB 777. The educrats seem to be going no where but down with this, which is why child advocates are calling Christian parents to abandon the public schools.

I think that's where all this is going to end up.

i don't think abandoning the public schools is any sort of solution to the apathy that allows the institution to be hijacked by idealogues, whatever their persuasion.

I am reminded that when the pundits were decrying Bush's (supposed) win after the 2004 election and crediting (supposed) "values voters," a lot of Progressives circulated maps of the red/blue divide in the US, with the Red states labeled "Jesus Land" and the Blue states wishing they were part of Canada.

Isn't it odd that the last time we had such a divide in the US, the "true blue" conservatives in the US labeled anyone whom we now would consider a Progressive as a "Red?" How on earth did these distinctions invert themselves? Who is to blame? I think there's a conspiracy here! Against whom should we file a lawsuit to protest this perversion of propaganda!?
